The Lone Gunmen are the first Australian Quake Clan, one of the first original founding members of the mighty Quake Clans.

The clan was originally formed through the holding of regular get-togethers known as QuakeFests, in order to play mulitplayer Quake (online gaming was not around at that time). Eventually QuakeFests became more public, with many different people coming in order to play multiplayer Quake. The regular players were dubbed "The Lone Gunmen" for their preference to kill each other, instead of opposing forces.

Jaymz came across the original Quake Clan page set up by the Clan Magistrate of The Red Dragons, Moebius. Jaymz immediately set up the clan page for The Lone Gunmen, and brought the idea to the rest of The Lone Gunmen. Most were a little skeptical at first, but were willing to give the clan deal a go. When set up, The Lone Gunmen were the fourth Quake clan to be listed.
